Conor Fitzgerald

Conor is proud to act as outside legal counsel for Tiny Tiny Homes. He is a lawyer, policy-maker, and producer living in Toronto, holding a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta, an MBA from the Schulich School of Business and a law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School. Conor splits his time between work with the Government of Canada, creating cultural policy in international trade and copyright; producing and supporting the management of Bygone Theatre, a charitable theatre company; and running a law practice. In his law practice, Conor focuses on entertainment, culture, and non-profit/charity law.

Conor has always cared deeply about supporting and advocating for unhoused individuals, mental health, and addiction – a cause he inherited. Conor’s grandfather lived his life with schizophrenia and spent much of the last years of his life living in group housing and sharing his modest disability supports with those in the Edmonton area who went without. While Bob Fitzgerald passed when Conor was young, Conor saw his parents providing the same empathy and care throughout his life, with the understanding that society functions best when we share whatever extra we have. When Conor saw an opportunity to participate in a cause that would have direct impact with clear results, he had to be involved.

Conor lives with his wife, Emily, and dog, Frances, and when he’s not working is an avid consumer of all things cultural.

Ryan Donais

Having experienced firsthand the trauma of homelessness and addiction, Ryan doesn’t just talk about change — he lives it. Ryan launched Tiny Tiny Homes out of a simple conviction: everyone deserves a safe place to sleep. Ryan has over fifteen years of experience within the construction industry. He devotes time and energy to building hope through Tiny Tiny Homes — while maintaining a full-time role as Health & Safety Advisor at EllisDon.

Under Ryan’s leadership, Tiny Tiny Homes designs and builds mobile, dignified transitional housing that replaces unsafe tent encampments with a secure place for individuals to breathe, rest, and rebuild. Whether he’s refining a trailer-frame layout, advocating at City Hall, or guiding a volunteer crew, Ryan is tireless in creating a path from crisis to stability — grounded in lived experience and powered by skilled craft. For Ryan, it’s more than construction and logistics: it’s about dignity, mobility, and possibility. He believes sustainable transitional housing requires both technical excellence and human empathy. Storytelling, system design and community building all intersect in his work — because he knows that housing is not just a structure, but a platform for transformation.

Kate Blais

Prior to moving to Toronto in 2015, Kate worked in London, UK as Executive Assistant to Cube Capital, a Hedge Fund with 1.3BGBP under management. Kate has volunteered for eight years with Toronto's most under served and under resourced community members. She spreads her time between four organizations and works predominantly in spaces that support the needs of individuals experiencing homelessness, and individuals in hospice (end of life) care. Kate met Ryan Donais, Founder of Tiny Tiny Homes whilst they both managed the needs of a mutual client who had gone through the Tiny Tiny Homes program but unfortunately was at end of life due to cancer and was receiving care at the hospice where Kate volunteers. Ryan's incredible work inspired her to join the Tiny Tiny Homes team in June of 2025 and she was appointed to the board in November of 2025.
