Toronto's homeless shelter system is overcapacity, meaning every night, hundreds of individuals are turned away. If our government can't keep our city's most vulnerable safe, we will — but we need your help to get there.
At Tiny Tiny Homes, we believe everyone deserves a safe place to call home. We design and build tiny portable emergency shelters to provide safety, warmth and dignity for those experiencing chronic homelessness. We're on a mission to replace unsafe tent encampments with more secure alternatives.
Each Tiny Tiny Home emergency shelter is compact and mobile, providing a safe and secure temporay living space for those most in need. These innovative shelters are mounted on wheels, allowing for easy mobility and flexibility. Our goal is to replace unsafe tent encampments with these safer, more dignified alternatives, offering a fast and sustainable solution to the city's current homelessness crisis.
Prototype Development
We started with a bold idea: to create a mobile, safe, and dignified shelter for those in need. Our team designed and built the first Tiny Tiny Home prototype, rigorously testing its functionality and mobility to ensure it meets the unique challenges of urban homelessness.
Awareness Campaign
Spreading the word is crucial. We launched an awareness campaign to introduce Tiny Tiny Homes to the community, engaging local media, hosting events, and building a strong online presence to showcase our innovative solution.
It's our vision to build a society where nobody is forced to sleep in the elements again. To make that happen, we need your help. We’re actively seeking grants, donations, and partnerships. A crowdfunding campaign has been launched to enable everyone to contribute to this cause and help us build more Tiny Tiny Homes emergency shelters much faster.
With funding secured, our pilot program will deploy the first Tiny Tiny Homes emergency shelters in key locations. We’ll gather feedback from residents and the community, using these insights to refine our designs and approach.
Success in the pilot phase will lead to broader expansion. We aim to scale production, increase distribution, and forge new partnerships, making Tiny Tiny Homes a viable housing solution for those in need across more communities.
